Refunds are processed within 5-7 business days to the original payment method, though shipping charges are non-refundable unless the item is defective or incorrect. Customers are responsible for return shipping costs, except for defective or incorrect items, and exchanges must be processed by returning the original item and placing a new order.

muskwa mostos kesigok iskew is their spirit name, which roughly translates asbear buffalo in the sky woman. They were given the French name Lynette LaFontaine by their parents, Richard La Fontaine and LeEtta La Fontaine (néePoirier) at birth. Their late dad was Métis and their mom is a French/ Irish settler.Lynette is a Two-Spirit Métis visual, mixed media, textile artist with roots innorthern Saskatchewan, as well as the historic Métis community of the Red Riversettlement. Some of their Métis family names include Lafontaine, Morin, Pruden,Vandal, Mirasty, Laliberte, LaVallee, Desjarlais, Hughes, Primeau, Laframboise,Ducept, Stevenson, and more. They grew up on the traditional, unceded Dakelhterritory of the Stella’ten and now currently reside in the traditional T’Sou-keterritory. They grew up hunting, fishing, and harvesting, as well as watching theirmom paint, draw, and sew. They taught themselves to bead in 2007 whilevolunteering with Métis Elders. In 2016, Lynette began a formal mentorshipjourney to learn Métis art forms with knowledge holders and Elders, includingbeadwork, whitefish scales, tufting, working with furs and porcupine quills, andhide tanning. Since then, they have reciprocally mentored others formally andinformally. It is Lynette’s lifelong commitment to maintain the knowledge and passon to future generations.

We collaborate with independent BC Metis artists and business owners across BC and Canada. Each artist is compensated fairly and all of our collections go back to supporting small business, MNBC and our local communities.

Yes! Many of our artisans offer customization. Check out the Artisan Directory, product page or contact the artist directly to discuss your request.

Most orders are processed within 2–5 business days. Shipping times vary depending on location and the item, especially for made-to-order or customized products. Estimated delivery time is provided at checkout or from the artist who is custom creating something for you.

Yes, we ship worldwide! International shipping costs and times will vary based on destination. Customs or import duties may apply depending on your country's regulations.
