Gary David Métis art cards. The originals are created in a 5 x8" sketchbook with alcohol markers. They are scanned and reproduced on photo paper with 6 colour printing process and packaged with an envelope inside a clear plastic sleeve.

As I've recently returned to sketching and painting, learning about my Métis heritage has inspired me to create images that tell a family history and illustrate some of our shared past. I also began exploring the world of our local wood in many forms, finally focusing on lathe work. This has remained a passion for the past years and I’ve been involved in a number of art shows, including the One Tree exhibition held at the Bateman Gallery in Victoria. I’ve participated in the Island woodworkers guild and have been involved in passing on my skills and love of wood, volunteering with the Providence Farm woodworkers program

We collaborate with independent Métis Artists and business owners across BC and Canada. Each Artist is compensated fairly and all of our collections go back to supporting small business, MNBC and our local communities.

Yes! Many of the Artists offer customization. Check out the Artist Directory, gallery and product pages and contact the Artist directly to discuss your request.

MNBC's Ministry of Culture, Heritage and Language assists in reviewing and classifying art and products that are labeled with the Métis Cultural Item badge. Learn more here

Shipping times vary depending on location and the item, especially for made-to-order or customized products. Estimated delivery time is provided at checkout or from the artist who is custom creating something for you.

Yes, we ship worldwide! International shipping costs and times will vary based on destination. Customs or import duties may apply depending on your country's regulations.

We accept returns within 14 days of delivery for most items. Custom or personalized items are typically non-refundable. Please review our full Return Policy.

For handmade items, please contact the artist directly to inquire about proper handling and care.

Not yet, however we're planning to offer this in future and are looking for materials to gift wrap your items that are sustainable, re-usable and environmentally friendly.
