Created by Sandy Faulkner

Sandy Faulkner (Jerome), is a Métis fibre artist from the Chilako River Valley with paternal roots to Marie-Anne Lagimodière, née Gaboury, who is Louis Riel’s grandmother (Mémère). Sandy and her husband raised their family working both on and off the farm with Sandy always finding time to work with natural fibre as a way to connect to the land and our creator. Sandy fashions tapestries, clothing and usable art from natural fibres such as linen, hemp, nettle, grasses and a variety of wool. She uses plain and mixed-media techniques, blended in sculptural weaving to add dimension both on and off the loom. Follow Sandy on Instagram
